Dosh: Get 10% Cashback on Lyft

Update 11/30/22: Dosh is now offering 10% back on Lyft, up to $2 per day/transaction. (I believe it’ll work once per day, though the fine print does say “one-time only” so I might be wrong.)

Update 12/9/21: It’s up to 5% cashback now. (The $5-per-ride limit appears to have been removed as well, so there’s just the $20/day limit now.)

The Offer

Check your Dosh app for the following offer:

  • Get 2% cash back on Lyft when you tap through the Dosh app and pay with a linked card.

The Fine Print

  • $20 $2 maximum cash back per day/transaction
  • Cash back will be deposited into your Dosh account within 30 days.

Our Verdict

Nice little savings. If you are new to Dosh, my thanks if you use my signup code CHUCKS2 during signup – you’ll get some small bonus when downloading the app and linking a card (either $1 or $5, not sure which it is right now).

Had the 10% offer on my account yesterday. Took a ride and 10% back immediately posted- then offer disappeared for the next ride. So looks to be one time only. Bummer.

Make sure to turn off Lyft’s receipt aggregation in Payment settings. If it’s on, Lyft will post 1 charge per date, but Dosh tracks based on the first pending charge on the credit card, so basically you’d only get paid for the first ride of the day (happened to me, so I turned off the feature to lump all rides into a single charge).

Fwiw, I haven’t opened my dosh app for months and I paid lyft with a card that’s linked through the app. It automatically sent me a notification of cashback.

I had the same experience. No need to go through the dosh link
