Card linked cash back program Dosh has sent out an e-mail to members regarding changes to the terms & service of the program. The main change is the addition of an inactivity fee. An account is considered inactive if no purchases and no Dosh wallet withdrawals are made in 365 days. If an account is inactive then a monthly fee of $4.99 will be charged.
They clarify further that they won’t ever charge your card or bank an inactivity fee: the fee only reduces your Dosh wallet balance.

I just signed up for it about a week or two ago and haven't used it, going to remove my card and not use it now at all.

I have a feeling these crooks won't be around in a year anyway... cash out while you can.
$25 is a high bar for cashing out I think.
Unless you're buying GCs, I don't see how "regular" people reach that threshold.
I would be up in arms..... IF the inactivity period was shorter. But tbh a year is pretty generous. If you feel you can't use the app in a year, you have plenty of time to withdraw your account
Except you can’t unless you have $25+ in it. That’s what makes its unreasonable
Any inactivity fee for a product like this should create discomfort. For all we know sometime down the line they can change the year to six months or so.
A business model where they share with you a portion of their revenue shouldn't call for an inactivity fee. There's practically zero cost for keeping an inactive user in the system. And they have minimum redemption limits for the exact same reason, that's the carrot. A stick is totally unnecessary, should be a red light to any Dosh user. And $4.99 a month is just way, way too much.
