Update: Actually works on any Luxury card so you could sign up for the Titanium card and make a slight profit but still don’t think it’s worth it.
Drop app is offering some users 350,000 points (worth $350) when they sign up for the Luxury Black Card. It’s rare to see incentives such as this for signing up for credit cards, normally the sign up bonus is offered from the card issuer directly. That’s because the card issuers themselves normally forbid affiliate networks from offering these incentives. It’ll be interesting to see if this offer lasts and if it does if Drop is able to get other card issuers on board. It’s somewhat unique in that there is no sign up bonus on this card. The offer itself isn’t worth considering due to the fact there is a $495 annual fee and no sign up bonus.
Hat tip to reader Paul L
but the question is whether it is easy to get approved i think it is issued by barclays don’t they have a 6 rule
Careful with drop – they might just lock/close your account at any moment w/o warning
If have 100K points locked forever because they didn’t like me earnings too many points
It looks like the card comes with priority pass (restaurants included). So if you value that at all, the titanium card with a $195 annual fee might be worth it for the $350 bonus.
I think only the Black card and better include priority pass. I checked specifically for the titanium and not the list for what you could get generally from luxury cards they offer.
Funny how they list one of the benefits vs the competition is being the heaviest weight metal card at 22g vs Amex Platinum 18g and Chase Sapphire 13g 😜
It’s for the “American Psycho” types.
Ritz Carlton is 28g so its not even really that heavy.
Cancelling between day 30 and 60 to get the drop points and annual fee refund?
You must follow steps and meet all criteria on the offer page to receive points.
Please allow up to 30 days after being approved for your credit card for your Drop points to be posted.
Offer cannot be combined with any other offers.

I get a mailer for this once or twice a month. Even with $350, it’s still a terrible deal. I find the “heavier than other cards” marketing to be weirdly hysterical.
I wonder how many people have signed up for it, incorrectly thinking that it would impress people?
I signed up for the Walmart Books subscription through Drop and they never paid even though I followed the rules. Will they even pay this one.
The offer just says “Luxury Card”, not “Luxury Black Card”. So it seems like the Luxury Titanium Card would also qualify, with an annual fee of just $195 (but no airline credit).
The 350,000 Drop points can just be redeemed for gift cards. So, you get $350 of gift cards, which I’d value at maybe 0.9*350=315. 315-195=$120 gain for opening the card. There’s no spending requirement, right? The terms say allow up to 30 days for the points to post.
I was skeptical, but the full terms even specifically list the Titanium card.
Do we trust drop?
I’ve earned and redeemed ~$150 in the past two years or so through Drop. Can’t recall any major issues. This is a larger gamble than I usually make, though
This card has an annual fee starting at $195
With the $100 calendar-year airline credit you can come out $55 ahead. Not much, but it’s something?
How do you come out ahead? 350 + 100 = 450 < 495?
