Caveat emptor: DD franchises aren’t stupid and will deliberately water down both hot & cold versions of this if you’re getting it for free. Sometimes they do it anyway even if you’re paying for it.

There’s thousands of DDs, I feel this is a YMMV situation at worst… The employee making the coffee at the end of the day doesn’t usually care if you’re paying full price or less at the end of the day.
The kids who run the show my local DD couldn’t care less.
The kid-employees at my DD look like their all part of the owner’s extended family.
