eBags Ending Rewards Program, $10 Credit To Use Through July 19th

eBags has sent out an e-mail to loyalty members that the rewards program will be ending later this month. As a way of saying sorry loyalty members have been given $10 in bonus rewards that can be used through July 19th, 2020. I don’t see any particularly good deals to use the credit on, but if anybody else does then please share them in the comments below.

Ended up buying this:
https://www.ebags.com/product/eagle-creek/pack-it-quarter-cube/271299?productid=10296771

Eagle Creek makes pretty good products, and I’ve found packing cubes to be helpful to keep stuff organized while traveling. Came out to $3.75 after adding shipping/taxes and taking the $10 off, so not a bad deal.

Bought this Packable Oakley Backpack which seemed like an OK deal, retails elsewhere for $45 and is at eBags for $36.
Could be packed away within a carry-on on the way to a destination and hold souvenirs for the trip home.

Bought a couple 9.99 packing cubes to get over the $49 free shipping minimum + $10 coupon

We’ve actually liked the eBags branded big bags….but the website and pricing is all over the place. Its sort of like shopping in a Cairo bazaar, you never really know if you got a fair enough price, and that makes it hard to trust them and repurchase. At least with Costco, I know I’ll get a fair – if not stunning – deal and if there are problems the best return policy around (that we actually can use).

Probably have a half dozen eBags branded bags around the place, although some are kind of beat up at this point which is more the airlines fault, than the manufacturers.

Any accountants out there? Does this mean they’re on the verge of bankruptcy? Tryin’ to get some liabilities off their books?

Or is it just a “marketing“ decision? Wink.

I buy the Marmot shirts when I can stack Ebags certificate, Amex offer, and shopping portal at 20% or more. Cheapest I have been able to buy these shirts.

It’s well over $10, but I love their weekender soft backpack. Should be about $70 with coupon.

BTW they emailed me and I only had $1.20 to spend.

Maybe everybody knows this, but if not, my experience is that ebags prices vary wildly, for the same item, depending on the portal or link you use….e-mailed discount code versus Rakuten, for example, and there are probably others.

This seems like a decent deal, it’s exactly $10 after you apply code DEALS https://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/compression-cube-large/365277?productid=10701545&cartItemId=1

There’s also a Samsonite manual luggage scale that is exactly $10, and a Caselogic camera case $9.99.

Anybody else remember the Bose QC 25 deal from 2017? Still have mine. They’ve gone downhill substantially since.

I ordered this bag a week or so ago. Great price for what seems like a good product, but obviously haven’t been able to travel with it just yet. Mine was in black, looks like only purple in stock now:
