Our Verdict
I got this email from Splender and probably others did too. Typically, new Ebates members get a $10 bonus for joining, with this offer you’ll get a total of $25 if you meet both thresholds.
I’m unsure if existing Splender members can get the $15 bonus (just not the $10), but I’m guessing the email is only for those who are new to Ebates and it won’t work. I happen use two different email addresses with Ebates and Splender so I got it, but Ebates doesn’t allow having more than one account so I won’t be making use of the offer.

Get a $10 Bonus when you sign up for Ebates through the referral link above & make a purchase of $25 or more through Ebates @ a retailer offering cash back (so basically at any retailer). A great way to do this is to sign up through the above referral link, and then just make your next online purchase through Ebates (don’t forget!) & that $10 Bonus is yours!
I did have splender and I did NOT have ebates. My email only mentioned the $10 for switching over. No mention of the additional $15 for $50 spend. We’ll see what it says when I sign up.
Ok I messed up. I must have opened an account in the past and completely forgot about it. My offer wasn’t $10 for opening an account. It said since I already had an account it was offering $10 if I spent $25 by a certain date. Sorry for the misinformation.
Interesting you got that offer, I know others didn’t that had accounts with both!
Just to confirm the somewhat obvious: I have both ebates and splender accounts using the same email address and — as you already suspected — I didn’t receive any bonus/incentive to switch over.
Is it possible to get the offer without the e-mail? When I go to the website it still says the original $10
Don’t think so
I wouldn’t bother. Ebates is notorious for not fulfilling their cashback. I learnt that the hard way
I’ve never had an issue, what happens when you contact support?
I did contact support. They initially gave me credit then said they were taking it back when it came time to givee my check back in February. They said it was because the the company did not even pay them for the referral, and because of that were taking the money back. I have receipts and everything to prove it all. Nothing, but aa ripoff
Can you be more specific to what the issue you had was?
The issue I had was all the cash back I was awarded was removed just weeks before they were to send out checks in February. In January, I issued complaints about missing cash back from my Christmas season shopping. The requests to customer support included receipts about the purchase, cost, item, my name, shipping address, the website I ordered from and when I made the purchase through the Ebates portal. The cashback was given initially by their technical support. However, just a few days before my check was to be sent I realized a lot of cashback was missing. I contacted Ebates again and was forwarded to what seem like a senior member of their team. I was informed the cashback was removed because the company I made the purchases from did not pay Ebates the referral fee, which the senior Ebates member says they share with us the customer, hence why it was removed. It is for this reason why i think Ebates is the worst as they come.
They paid me out over $800 last year. They were very good to me honestly. Never had a problem.
