[Expired] eBay: $15 off $75 Off Anything, Save 25% on Gas Gift Cards

The Offer

  • eBay is offering a summer discount of $15 off $75 on just about anything sold on eBay with promo code: CSUMMERFUN2016.
  • Offer valid today only, 6/24. Expires at 5 pm PT.

The promo code works once per Paypal account.

It works on third party gift cards but not on eBay gift cards. (You can, however, do part of the $75 in third-party gift cards or other stuff, and add eBay gift cards to bring you to $75. )

What to Buy

Here’s a link to the list of discounted gift cards on eBay

If you don’t see anything there that interests you, check out our list of top brands of full-price gift cards sold on eBay. You should find something there for sure.

There’s also a free $20 in the Auto category when spending $80 on eBay, so be sure to throw in some motor oil or wipers or something. I’m guessing these offers will stack, but I used my Auto offer already so I can’t say for sure.

Update: Found the direct link to the offer. Also, using multiple gift cards isn’t going so well today, you might encounter a system glitch after using a couple gift cards which won’t let you add another gift card.

Thank you for the heads up on this deal! Combined this with eBates $10 promotional bonus. $80 gift card for $51 isn’t too shabby.

Ebay is the only merchant on the web where I’m never quite sure whether I’ll be able to pay. Amazing. Perhaps they save money on these promos by being such a PITA?

Mike, I think it’s more like you can use the coupon to buy Ebay giftcards. Could be wrong though.

I’m really frustrated with Paypal. This is the 2nd time within a week that it refuses to verify my account correctly. My first order from a few days ago was eventually pushed through, but because the verification (even though it clears) is repeated… it probably appears like I’m making multiple purchases, so Paypal decides to lock my account for a couple of days. This CSUMMERFUN2016 code is only good until 5pm today and it’s not like I can get a credit because Paypal doesn’t want to cooperate. I was already bummed about not being able to get 5x (Ink), but I would also miss out on $15off even if I went the Ebaybucks way or pay with gift certificates… they would still need Paypal to check out.

Their verification process is complete b/s… I’m very sorry for anyone who also have to put up with such b/s. I haven’t had my account require verification only until recently.

Paypal told me they’re having issues accepting eBay gift cards at the moment. Ridiculous.

According to the coupon “terms” you can’t use a Ebay gift card.

It let me use a ebay gift card on the first transaction. On the second one with different paypal account, i couldn’t use ebay gift card at all.

of course paypal keeps erroring out. almost 50% of the time during these flash sales paypal won’t work to process the transaction. I may just start ignoring these. Not worth spending an hour trying struggling with the paypal menace to save $15

I’m adding myself to the list of people frustrated with Paypal. Whenever I try to use my Paypal account on Ebay, it just asks me to sign in to it repeatedly. I called Paypal to ask about it, and they say my transaction is triggering security issues for some reason, but can’t explain why. My husband’s Paypal account has no issues paying for the same transactions, at the same time, same laptop, and same internet. He has his set to pay with a bank account though, and I’d rather be able to use my own account anyway. Also, even when mine was set to pay with a bank account, it still did the same thing.

My wife’s paypal account had the same issue which had just one credit card on her account. On a separate browser opened paypal, have added a BOA bank account (not a debit or credit card) which had an interface requesting for BOA credentials and once this was done, she no longer had this repeated login issue on ebay-paypal.

This worked for us.

Maybe same time, same laptop, same ip address are the reason triggering the security check.

Thanks for the response. I used my account first though, triggering the security check. I ended up using his last time after that because mine wouldn’t work. Looks like I’ll have to do the same this time if I want to participate.

Same paypal problem here. I’ve spent hours. 1st emailed. Multiple calls / hold cycles on two different days to total hours. They said that a third party software service flagged me as a security risk. When I FINALLY got to a manager, he was pretty rude. Said tough luck, no appeal. When I asked to speak to his supervisor, he gave me snail mail address for the legal department. It’s NOT your form of payment. I had 2 good credit cards linked to my pay pal account. Paypal didn’t attempt to charge my cards. I checked with my card company. And paypal said the same thing. No attempt to charge my credit cards.

I am the only internet user in my household, so it’s not the same ip address.

In each of many calls, my identity was verified using security questions. And the rep attempted to “reset” my security issues. No impact. I think that paypal is paying for a complete garbage third party security service.
