Our Verdict
Previously this was getting a $50 statement credit signup bonus with $150 spent on eBay; now it’s $150 statement credit with $500 spent on eBay. Some would find $150 cash signup bonus worthwhile, though the spend requirement here is to spend on eBay, specifically, so it’s a bit more difficult. You can buy gift cards on eBay from retailers like PPDG and Giftcardmall which could be helpful for meeting the spend requirement.
Confirming $150 credit received and showing on the first statement. Credit limit is only $300 so I had to make multiple small purchases and bill payments from external bank.
Is it 150 or 100 statement credit? Because I received 15K points and it says $10 credit per 1500 points? Note that points are not available to Redeem until 2 statement cycles.
the offer is back and this time it doesnt say spend on ebay. It says anything. Am I correct ?
Can anyone confirm if you can use this card to pay through Paypal on eBay to reach the spending bonus? eBay is giving me an error for days when trying to pay directly with the credit card now.
Same here. Will not allow one to use this CC to purchase eBay GCs. Did you find a work around?
I called in and according to the Synchrony rep, paying through Paypal on eBay still counts. YMMV though
Interesting
Looks like I will purchase a physical product from eBay at this time. I did not find a way to purchase an eBay GC with this CC.
What to buy on ebay for $500?
PPDG sells Ebay gift card (never expire). So I could buy gift card to meet the spend and use later on ebay? Any downside to this?
I believe that would work
Have to place the order through PayPal (can link CC). Lemme know what it shows as in processing?
PPDG will not let one purchase an eBay GC directly with a credit card–only through Paypal. Let us know if you find a work around. Thus it looks like a no-go to meet the SUB requirement.
sorry, ended up getting Amazon/Starbucks gift card from regular sellers..you may have to check now and then to find a gift card that is not marked up more that its face value
I purchased a new iPhone to meet the SUB. eBay would not allow purchase of an eBay GC with Paypal(with eBay CC) or CC. Called eBay customer several times and they could not fix the issue.
Approved. Was given a $500 instant credit limit to be used at eBay and then full limit when card arrives. Had TU locked so they pulled EQ.
I got approve for one card. Has anyone tried doing again to see if one could get the same promotion twice?
Instant approval for me
What’s your X/24 status ?

“Purchases made on eBay from international merchants and purchases that are not made in US dollars will earn 1 Reward Point and will not count toward the $1,000 purchase threshold.”
Most of my large orders are for bicycling equipment from Europe/UK so this won’t do me much good.
