[Expired] [YMMV] eBay: Sell $30+ In Items & Get A $10 Coupon [Last Day]

Deal has expired, view more eBay deals by clicking here

Update 10/13/19: Last day for this deal.

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • eBay is offering users a $10 coupon when they sell $30+. Items must be listed by 10/13 and sell by 10/31

Our Verdict

Terms make it sound targeted, but I got the offer even though I sell on eBay on a somewhat frequent basis so I suspect everybody will be eligible. $10 coupon isn’t a lot, but might be enough to motivate you to get some items listed.

Does yours appear on the eBay bucks page? I didn’t receive my $10 coupon. (Supposed to take up to 2 weeks though).Thanks.

According to the slickdeals thread, the promotional offer is being pulled from seller’s accounts including mine. (https://slickdeals.net/f/13425550-give-selling-a-try-and-earn-a-10-coupon?page=11#commentsBox)

ebay is pure garbage, selling on it is free money for buyers and also the site, buyer can return far any phony reason and seller pays the to and fro shipping and also ebay is a leech in the end to charge listing fee for an item that gets returned … strongly advise people to stay away from it.

Your information is simply untrue. The buyer pays postage on returned items, and very few items are charged listing fees (only selling fees if the item is actually sold). Selling fees are refunded to the seller if the transaction is cancelled or refunded. Get your facts straight.

I have sold over 1,000 items on eBay, and I have never been burned.

There has been a pretty significant policy change recently that would affect eBay sellers:

But of course it’s PayPal wide

PayPal fees are different from eBay fees.

Yeah. I don’t think that’s what Sk was referring to either. BUT I felt it needed to be noted when you said: “Selling fees are refunded to the seller if the transaction is cancelled or refunded. ”

They’re no longer fully refunded in the sense I was accustomed to. That’s all. And it’s worth noting on a post about selling on eBay

Besides, I did say it “would affect eBay sellers” (not an eBay fee or policy) and that “it’s PayPal wide”

The buyer only pays postage on returned items if they are honest – however, all they have to say is the item is not as described and the seller pays for return shipping.

I have sold over 3,000 items and I have been burned a few times. Your argument is ridiculous – if I jump on a beehive 1,000 times and never get stung does that mean everyone who jumps on a beehive won’t get stung?

With 1,000 successful sales, I was simply observing that it is false for Sk to declare eBay to be “pure garbage” (based on several false statements). I assume that you will be taking your business elsewhere since you have “been burned a few times”??? Bye bye!
