The Fine Print

Valid until 11:59 pm PT on August 30th.
Only invited, registered eBay Bucks participants who receive the promotional offer from eBay in My Messages are eligible. Sorry, no forwarding—the offer is not transferable.
The Promotion applies to any qualifying items purchased during the Promotion Period that meet the minimum purchase requirement.
You must activate the offer to qualify.
Qualifying purchase or items listed for sale excludes all items in the following categories: Classifieds, Business & Industrial, but only for Heavy Equipment within that category, Real Estate, Gift Cards & Coupons (including eBay Gift Cards, Gift Cards, and Digital Gifts within that category), Bullion (within the Coins & Paper category), and all categories in Motors, except Parts & Accessories.
Rewards are capped at $100 per transaction and $500 per Earn Period.
Purchases must be completed during the Promotion Period and paid for before the Promotion ends. eBay reserves the right to cancel, amend, or revoke the Promotion at any time.

Our Verdict

I find it a pain to the use the app, though you can add to your cart in browser and then checkout in app to make it easier. Remember to use a shopping portal for eBay.

W hen making the purchases, I was over $50 total so I got the 10% ebay bucks back……BUT…… I later return one of the items…… Do I lose all of the 10% special offer, or do I only lose the 10% ebay buck “pro-rata” on that one item?

I am shopping for a new phone and this may be a good opportunity to save on Ebay.

Can I stack this with buying Ebay gift cards at Staples for 5x cash back? Im looking at a phone for $569. Buying $500 Ebay gift cards + this Ebay Bucks is over ~$80 cash back. Will that work?

I was able to stack 20% (selected sellers) plus 10%Ebay bucks and apply a 200gc. Ebay bucks was 10% before gc was applied. Mind you I didn’t complete checkout but it looks like it would work.

This stack works just fine. The GCs are applied as payment, and you even get Bucks on the listing price if there’s a coupon. Usual GC restrictions apply, of course.
