Uber is often more expensive than Lyft, and CSR gives 10x on Lyft. So this 10% discount is worse than the CSR+Lyft combo plus Lyft being cheaper. What am I missing here?
ubereats runs ok promos sometimes which help you break even. Instead of just getting 3x or whatever, this helps you get more value. Plus if you have the annoying uber credits from gold/plat that don’t fully cover the purchase, this helps out there.
I do have to say, Uber Eats allowing me to combine BOGO + 40% off + discounted gift cards + Marriott points is a decent value

Agree, although I noticed my 40% off promos dried up significantly since I loaded a bunch of discounted gift cards to my account. Anyone else notice something similar?
Don’t know if causation or coincidence but noticed the same thing. Was getting 40% off promos for a good 6 months straight.
Hi, I also loaded gift cards and recently downgraded from Amex platinum to gold card, as well. I still have an Uber one membership. I have not received a discounted meal code in weeks, and only am receiving codes sporadically for convenience store and grocery, which I don’t need. I had an Amex Gold prior to the platinum upgrade and subsequent downgrade, and I do remember receiving restaurant discount codes frequently. I called Uber, and they say it’s because of the product change.
After purchasing and trying to claim the gift card, I received the following message:
“We’re sorry
We were unable to complete your claim request.
Please contact customer support with issue code CPI-100.”
Update: after putting in a ticket with the eGifter Customer Support Team, they were able to reissue the gift card which I successfully redeemed.
Mygiftcardsplus 10% deal could be slightly better than this because you get credit card rewards for the full amount since you pay the full amount and get 10% back as SB. Also SB will be better than 1cpp for most people.
