The Offer

Direct link to offer

    • Transfer 1000 to 10,000 miles and get 20% Bonus Miles on each transaction.
    • Transfer 10,001 to 50,000 miles and get 30% Bonus Miles on each transaction.

honestly i’ve found Etihad points decent to AC for north american domestic. about 6-10k a pop with similar Star Alliance fees. Had 16k from hyatt bonus last year.

William Charles Are you sure it’s C1, not citibank? I don’t see where it shows this promo is for C1 on the direct link & 2 other “current xfer promo” websites both state citibank as well.

I don’t see Capital One on the partners list – only Citi.

William Charles – Capital one is not in the transfer bonus this time around. Just Citibank.

Is this actually for Capital One?

They don’t appear on the page for the transfer. Citi does, but Cap1 doesn’t.
If it is for all transfer partners then it would include Cap1 but also Amex as well. Not sure if it is or not though.

Etihad cancellation policy is one of the worst, cancelation fees are shockingly high. If you are not 100% sure about your booking do not book with Etihad miles. Below the cancellation fees

You’ll be charged 75% of the miles required if you request to cancel within seven days of departureYou’ll be charged 50% of the miles required if you request to cancel within eight to 21 days of departureYou’ll be charged 25% of the miles required if you request to cancel 21 or more days before departure

I’ll copy/paste my comment on a frequentmiler post about the Etihad Citi transfer bonus:

“For those interested in taking advantage of this, be aware of the brutal new cancellation policies for Etihad awards. Quoting Ben at OMAAT:

You can’t cancel awards within 24 hours of departure, and further out than that, the cost varies based on how far out you’re canceling. If you cancel an award more than 21 days before departure, you’ll be charged 25% of the miles required, if you cancel eight to 21 days before departure, you’ll be charged 50% of the miles required, and if you cancel an award within seven days of departure, you’ll be charged 75% of the miles required.”

Etihad cancellation policy

25% of miles required – if you cancel 21 days before departure
50% of miles required – if you cancel 8 to 21 days before departure
75% of miles required – if you cancel 7 days or less

I got my bonus miles instantly and have used them to book Etihad apartments next Feb. Still plenty of dates available JFK <> AUH

200k per person one-way plus over $600 in fees and the new cancellation policies makes this a lot less appealing.

Link to offer is broken, says “page not found”. Also I’m not seeing the transfer bonus in my Venture X transfer partners. Is it YMMV/Targeted?
