On September 6, 2022 American Express closed the SFO Centurion lounge for maintenance and to double the space of the lounge to 16,000 square feet. That lounge has now reopened (for once American Express met a lounge deadline).

I’ve been to pretty much all the Centurion lounges and the SFO lounge is far and away the worst. Small and packed with immigrants.
I think you’re confused with what the word immigrant means
I’m sorry you’re offended by immigrants who are able to afford $700 AF credit cards.
Quote Danny Glover, I guess your grand parents were Native Americans.
That might be the problem. It must make them forget where their place is.
I agree. Chinese immigrants have no class. Hogging all of the food
Hadn’t noticed any notable demographics in the mix at SFO.
The wine dispensary is novel, but the location was definitely too small. Like the Seattle “centurion studio”, sometimes you got turned away.
Some locations, even with ample space, suffer long lines for the buffets. Miami seems to be one such. On the other side of the spectrum, I find the Vegas location is large, comfortable, and a manageable interest in the food.
Last time I was there it was all fat white guys picking their noses. Times have changed!
Maybe you should take note from Amex themselves, they just let anyone in as long as they pay the AF.
Useful now that priority pass from venture x got trashed and no more restaurants
Already seeing reports of overcrowding
It will be very interesting to see if those reports slow down with guests getting nixed next month
I don’t think the new rules will change anything.
well the pumping of plat cards really did bring us millenials into the game
Great news! SFO Centurion Lounge is small and crowded but I’m glad it reopens before I travel sometime in January.
