Last monday American Express released a number of useful business AmEx offers. It looked like they hit the redemption cap because the offers disappeared for those who hadn’t saved the offers. The offers are now showing up again, so go ahead and save them before they disappear again. Offers in question:
- AmEx Offer: 10% Back At Staples, $50 Limit
- AmEx Offer: 10% Back At Lowe’s, $100 Limit
- AmEx Offer: 10% Back At Boxed, $100 Limit
- AmEx Offer: 10% Back At Dell.com, $1,500 Limit

THANK YOU ! Weren’t there last week…. but they were there today and promptly added them (to my bus amex acct).
What are people excited to purchase with these AmEx Offers? I don’t typically shop at these places, so I’m looking to get enlightened.
At Staples and Lowe’s people buy Visa Gcs of course… pretty good money maker right there. Or, if they want to save even the $6.95 fee (only $4.95 fee at Lowe’s), they buy gift cards to other stores where they know they will be shopping anyways (although this should really only be done on purchases where you definitely won’t need credit card protections).
As for Dell.com, not as good for sure but if you’re in the market for a laptop anyways, 10% off is nothing to sneeze at. I’m not sure how people maximize boxed.com, I’d be interested to learn as well.
Thanks. That’s what I was speculating.
I haven’t bought anything from Dell in probably a decade. What’s worth getting with this promo?
Got Lowe’s, Staples and Dell on Delta biz card, thanks for heads up!
Multi tab trick doesn’t work on these.
The fine print points out:
” In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it.”
This is one of the two issues being discussed in the Amex Gold lack-of-bonus thread, but may not really do anything here, since I think these retailers have their own full-fledged POS systems.
It mentions no “gift cards in bulk,” at Staples does anyone have DP for what this means? Might Max out on Target or Uber
You can do better than 10% off Uber GC by buying them at Best Buy instead. Swagbucks (QR code scan) & Best Buy rewards gives more than 10% back if done correctly.
How do you get credit on swagbucks for this? thanks!
AMEX ED – no love from staples offers.
I did 2x Chase offers ($19 max/card) today
Good offer, but “fantastic”? The rebate limits (like $50) make that a bit of hyperbole. 🙂
I have one of those AMEX Blue biz cards (with everyone in my family having an additional card) that’s perfect for these biz offers. It’s a 2% Membership Rewards card with no annual fee. Not sure why anyone would actually PAY for a different AMEX biz card (as opposed to getting it for the sign-up bonus).
Eh I think the offers are great, people that missed out on them were annoyed so I think the fantastic is warranted but can see where you’re coming from
You can only have ONE offer on either your Primary card or any of the AU cards attached to your primary card.
On top of that, if you have family members have the same Primary Biz Plus and also being an AU on your Primary card – if both Primary cardholders (you and the family member) do the offer, the 2nd statement credit, will be clawed back!
This happened to me during the same promo in July (ended Nov 30)
Both my husband Primary and my own Primary Biz Plus have done the Staples offers, His was done in Jul, and mine was done in Aug. The $100 credit on my Primary card was clawed back in Nov!
An AMEX supervisor said the claw back is not correct as we each only got the credit once on our own primary cards! But she sees I am also the AU on his, she suspects that is where the RAT got confused!
It took me 3 phone calls to get the claw back reversed as CR ADJ ON BILLING INQUIRY.
So when you add offer to cards, you need to be very careful to avoid situation like above happened,
The worst part is, the claw back happened MONTHS LATER,
On two business cards today unlike last week. Thanks.
