The Fine Print

- Qualifications must post and clear during the monthly qualification cycle.
- Intra-bank transfers do not count as qualifying transactions.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
They offer a free checking account with no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
$30 early termination fee if less than 6 months. Have to go in branch to close.
Our Verdict
Nice big bonus, shame it’s only available at that branch. Previously Lyon Bank has offered a $175 bonus. Will add this to our list of highly regional specific bank bonuses.

William Charles in case this ever comes around again, it’s a $30 early termination fee if less than 6 months. Have to go in branch to close.

i live about an hour and a half away from this bank
Is it worth the Drive to go to the branch in person
$500 bucks seems pretty decent for a 3 hour round trip drive. What do you think?
Depends on how much you value your time. Seems $150 plus per hour is pretty good. However, I would call to verify if they will allow you to open an account living that far away.
