My OOS application did not end too well. I first applied with Chex frozen, and that was rejected. I unfroze Chex and applied again, choosing a random county. That was actually approved, and I funded with a credit card, and was using the account for a week with things like bill pay. But then they asked for proof that I’m associated with the county, and then closed the account (by check) when I didn’t have any.
Look for a lost relative who can refer me to this CU
Chex sensitive. Rejected with 760 Chex score. 1/3, 5/12, 10/24 inquiries. SP Equifax.
Updated
Denied due to location.
Failed because of Chex but what doesn’t these days.
Applied OOS b/c I work in service. Was not asked for any proof of eligibility and was accepted after a drivers license scan.

Was it a hard credit pull? Thanks!
Don’t think so. I applied on Monday and there are no inquiries on my report. My Chex is like 5/24.
Just to confirm – I never received a hard pull for this account. Also I live in a bordering county. Maybe why I was never asked for proof of eligibility.
They tried to pull Equifax (unknown hard or soft) and Chexsystems.
Both were frozen and I got a “notice of adverse action” via secure email a day after applying
What types of bill can you pay thru their tool? I tried googling but didn’t find anything
It’s actually max of $700 (you forgot yo add on the $50 loan one in the total$..
They had this last year also at end of year. Pretty easy yo do I think.
Easy to log in 12 times consecutive
Bill pay I just do the $30 20 times on larger payments due.
The big one is 2% to get $300. I simply get a Money order with my debit card for $1,000 at Walmart 15 times to maximize the $300.
Some may not want to bother with this, but pretty simple for me
Do you recall if they did a hard pull on your credit report or pulled your Chex report when you opened your account?
Fathiss
For most people, getting $50 for opening a loan is not worth it.
Maximum bonus amount is $650, not $350; the title needs a correction as well.
William Charles.
This bonus does not require opening an account. It’s available to existing accounts. Only requires opening if you don’t have one.
I know. I was asking for others who are interested in opening an account to do the promotion.
Fathiss
Yeah, I don’t recall if it did a pull on my credit report. It was so long ago. I’ve had the account for over 30 years.
I see. You absolutely deserve the end of year giveback, for every year!
Fathiss
$300 is from the 2% debit card so we didn’t include that in the title.
What kind of account needs to be opened?
Nm I see it.
Also looks like have to be near the central time zone as well.
Oh well
I’m gonna break the ice with the most dreaded question…… OOS?
