Our Verdict
We saw a 60,000 point bonus on the personal card before. If points are the same then you can get 1.5¢ per point for travel. Based on that review it seems like you need to live, work or operate a business in Orange, Seminole, Volusia, Osceola, Polk, Brevard, Lake, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, or Sarasota counties.

Update for 2023 – Must have business registered in Florida, despite no language anywhere during app. They emailed me with a personal card offer so figured I’d try for the business card first, and got through a call from lending but then emailed that they cannot open for anyone not registered in FL.
Edit – it DOES say you have to be registered in Florida after you click apply now – 2nd bullet point. This one’s on me…decided to do a personal App same day to see if they combine hard pulls since the damage is done.
Hard pulls do combine for Biz + Personal, but I was declined for personal due to churning. The loan officer knew how much outstanding credit I had which scared her, along with the speed at which cards are opened and closed. This appears to be a very very picky bank with manual reviews for everything.
Anyone know if these report to personal credit?
Hard inquiry on Equifax. “Your FAIRWINDS Business Relationship Manager will personally contact you by the following business day to discuss your application and request additional documentation if applicable.”
How did this go?
FYI William Charles the hyperlinks for the Business Cash Visa and Business Rewards Visa appear to be switched; clicking the cash hyperlink brings up the rewards card application and vice versa.
Thanks, fixing now
Florida Man gets a big bonus
Any one know if this card is sensitive to MS? Most likely Simon gift cards. Thank you!!
They’re not sensitive to money order deposits for their checking accounts. In the past I’ve done so much credit card funding with them but that has been recently shutdown. I don’t have their credit cards though but I think they want 2 years of taxes so I dunno.
“We saw a 60,000 point bonus on the personal card before. If points are the same then you definitely want to go for the cash option, as points are worth under 1¢ each.”
But the post you linked clearly says that points are now worth 1.5¢ for travel…while that may not be terrible useful now, that makes 200k points still sound like a better option than $2000 in the medium term? (That’s assuming that they are the same or interchangeable with CURewards points, as you said)
Opps, only looked at the GC angle. Let me update.
William Charles In the first sentence of the article, you mixed up the hyperlinks for the two cards: the link for “Business Cash Visa” directs to the page for the Business Rewards Visa, and vice versa.
I wish i knew how to churn 50k in 180 days
Just go to Simon mall twice
Can you provide a little more information by going to Simon mall twice?
You go to Simon mall once. Then you go to Simon mall again. Bingo bango, you’ve gone to Simon mall twice.
