As a condition of membership, you must maintain an ownership savings account with $5 and a share savings account to be eligible for any other products or services. Members (primary and joint accountholders) who currently have or have had a checking account with Orlando Credit Union within the past 12 months are not eligible for this promotional offer.

- fter meeting the qualification requirements, the bonus will be credited to the new Orlando Credit Union Checking Your Way or Dividend Checking account within 30 days. If the Orlando Credit Union Checking Your Way or Dividend Checking account is closed within 12 months of account opening, we will deduct the bonus for that account at closing. Orlando Credit Union may report the value of any reward received to promotional offers to the Internal Revenue Service as required by law.

Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Dividend Checking
This account has a $10 monthly fee unless you have an average daily balance of $10,000+
Checking Your Way
The monthly fee is waived if you complete any of the following:
- Direct Deposit of $300 or more per month; or
- daily aggregate balance of all loans of at least $200 (Excluding delinquent loans.); or
- daily aggregate balance of all deposit accounts of at least $200; or
- have a First Mortgage with Orlando Credit Union; or have a Prime PLUS account (For members 50 + years of age.); or
- must be 22 years of age or younger.
Early Account Termination Fee
I couldn’t find any mention of an early account termination fee in the fee schedule. Fine print does say you forfeit the bonus if account is closed within 12 months.

Hefty Monthly DD for 4 months, plus account fee only avoidable with 10k in bank, Multiple debit card transactions and need to keep open a year or bonus claw back. No Thanks ! Too many rules !
Still nothing from them after opening November 13. Perhaps they won’t pay until 30 days after the 120 day qualifying, which would be April 12, but I suspect they’re deadbeats. I didn’t get a warm fuzzy feeling dealing with them to open the account. I’ll give it another few weeks and then close my account.
Nothing…closed account yesterday.
Snowbird sorry it didn’t work out. Did you use a real or spoofed DD ?
Spoofed using Fidelity.
@Snowbird Could it have been due to county restriction? Do you live in Orlando?
Not Orlando, but within one of the counties they allow as members. If you’re eligible for membership, you should be eligible for the bonus.
Anyone gotten the bonus yet?
Nothing yet. I met the conditions on January 17 using DD from Fidelity. Not sure if that’s going to count or not. I’m hoping they’ll pay out with the February statements this weekend but not counting on it.
I cant keep $10k so want to do the $200 bonus. Is it “one” direct deposit a month of $2,000. Or can i have a few DD totaling over $2000?

They pull a Chex report. They called me with some questions regarding my report but allowed me to open. I’m at 15/12.
I emailed their customer support and was told that online transactions do not count toward the swipe and sign requirements. Not sure whether their automated system for bonuses may qualify it anyway, but thought I’d share my findings with everyone. Not worth the risk for me, since I do basically none of my purchases in person these days.
Soft pull on Equifax for me. Make sure to opt-out of all the overdraft selections.
FYI (based on my experience). Credit Unions tend to use hard pulls, yes, even just for checking/savings account(s) opening.
I think your statement is over-generalized. It really depends on the credit union.
