Every year different places offer an incentive for getting the flu shot.
- CVS offers a $5 off $20 coupon for no cost flu shot (insurance).
- Walgreens: Earn $10 in Wags cash when you spend $1+
- Giant eagle: $5 gift card (insurance)
- RiteAid $5 off $25
- Safeway 10% off, up to $20 off
Will add more as they become available. You’ll probably want to wait until later in the year for maximum effectiveness.
William Charles Chuck can you make a similar post for this year?
Yes, on the to do list.
The process for Walgreens is the same as last year:

We have done this three times since September 2023.
Store 1: Register did not print a coupon, so I showed the Walgreens website on my phone. A manager did something and asked me to enter my phone number. The manager then loaded $10 to my myWalgreens without me buying a $1+ item.
Store 2: Same thing happened.
Store 1: Register printed a coupon this time. The pharmacist remembered me and said they rebooted the registers, and the registers started to print coupons.
Naturally, the convoluted Walgreens Cash $10 after shot + spend $1+ offer didn’t track and no fine print anywhere explaining the details of how it was meant to work. However, I got a friendly Customer Service rep at 1-855-225-0400 and they manually added a $10 ‘Goodwill Adjustment’.
William Charles $10 off groceries at Kroger-banner stores. Need to clip coupon. Contradictory terms — says both one per person and one per household.

Exp. Nov. 30
in my late 20’s, i stopped getting the flu shot. up until then, i used to come down with severe cold or flu at least twice a year, and each bout lasting for 10 to 15 days.
as time went on, i got sick less often and with milder symptoms.
last time i got sick was more than 3.5 years ago lasting for a very short period, 3 days or so.
this is not a medical advise whatsoever. it’s just a testimony based on my own experience.
The plural of anecdote is data right?
Yeah, and the plural of “common sense” is “uncommon.”
cool? the only time i didn’t get a flu shot, i got the flu so badly i had to go to the hospital. your testimony is just you being an antivax conspiracy theorist – anybody with half a brain can see what you’re trying to infer and it’s nonsense
Albertsons:
Receive 10% off your next grocery purchase for receiving a qualifying immunization.
Looks to be churnable so might as well grab a vax for each $200 shopping trip… should work for Covid, TDAP etc. if you need any boosters.
Qualifying vaccines do not include immunizations received in AR, immunizations received by customers under 60 years old in NJ and immunizations other than COVID-19 vaccines in NY.
Fine print:
10% off on a single grocery purchase of qualifying items up to $200 (up to $20 total value). $40 minimum purchase required. Must have a loyalty account.
Offer valid until 12/31/23
“Groceries” exclude gift cards.

i miss the target flu shot deal. the only one worthwhile.
Australia had another big, early flu season this year. Cases were sharply down by mid-winter in July.
I don’t think waiting is as important this year if the Northern Hemisphere follows a similar pattern.
As usual not valid in AR, NJ, or NY due to stupid laws. Also, as usual ideal time to get the flu shot is late October or early November.
