Hat tip to VFTW
this was actually a sweet deal while it lasted
im having real trouble joining flying blue, somehow website kept saying error creating account….any idea?
question for new york 11k option one way? is ANY city in europe included? i do not have a flying blue account myself
How could I make it possible for the stop in Paris to last a day or two?
So these promos are supposed to work on “saver” award space, and once the promo goes live the saver awards will supposedly reprice. Is there a way to tell what is a “saver” award ticket before the promo starts? Since Flying Blue has dynamic pricing, like Delta, the amount of miles charged changes between days and city pairings.Obviously if they sometimes charge 52K on one route and I see another day where they charge 112K, I know the latter is probably not “saver” award space. But other routes the lowest redemption I can find is 72K or more.
I have some Flying Blue miles to burn and have been waiting for a decent Seattle sale.
Is this only on Air France metal or can it be used to book Delta flights? Air France’s premium economy has really weird non-reclining seats and their business class is in 2-2-2 configuration instead of 1-2-1.
Air France and KLM only, not their partners (so, no Delta).
Depends what flight, some AF J is 1-2-1
You’re right. This article covers it in detail: https://upgradedpoints.com/air-france-us-routes
Most are 2-2-2 though with some even 2-3-2.
On a coach ticket from the USA to Europe, approximately what would I be looking at in taxes/fees?
Off season promo airfares have gotten so cheap lately (I use sites like secretflying and theflightdeal to follow them) that 22,000 miles isn’t a particularly good deal if you have to pay any “fuel surcharge.” It won’t be difficult to find sub-$300 airfares (including taxes) from the East Coast to Europe for March.
Around $200 round trip
