Every now and then FNBO releases a new card offering 2% cash back on all purchases. For whatever reason they change the name each time, we’ve seen the BucksBack & Complete Rewards and now they are offering the CashBack Visa card. I wasn’t even going to post the card because 2% cash back is so common these days, but lots of readers wanted my thoughts via e-mail so I thought I’d do a quick post. Personally I don’t see any reason to sign up for this card, for the following reasons:
- Fidelity offers a 2% cash back with a $100 sign up bonus
- Paypal offers a 2% cash back card with no foreign transaction fees
- Alliant & others offer cards that earn more than 2% cash back on all purchases
2% cash back on all purchases isn’t a good enough value proposition anymore and for the above reasons I don’t see any reason to sign up for this card.
A couple years ago when I wanted to upgrade my plain FNBO card to a BucksBack since I never used my card, they refused & stated flat out they DO NOT do product conversions. I cancelled my card.
Be the DP you want to see guys. AFAIK it’s still not possible to pc: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/new-travelite-credit-card-from-fnbo-review/#comment-385577
Just got off the phone with the # on the back of the card and their answer is still now. Credit analyst number is closed, I’ll waste their time later this week if I have some free time.
LOL Anyone know if you can do a product change?
What if we organized a day/time where everyone floods them with calls about it? Something like the first Monday of each quarter at 5 PM.
Was going to ask the same question – I signed up for the BucksBack card last time but points do expire after 3 years…
Is it possible to do a product change this time? Last time I tried to change my FNBO card to TravElite but no go
