Our Verdict
Need to purchase $25 in groceries but still a good deal on some of these brands.
Save 10 when buying $50 on participating GC with a 10 minimum grocery purchase. Offer valid from july 31 to August 13. The offer is in their weekly sale ad.

Thanks, brands aren’t great so won’t post this time.
I tried to buy one tonight and last said I can’t pay for gift cards with a credit card….only debit.
They wouldn’t allow a GC purchase at the checkout aisle, so I went to the CS desk. I was unable to get the discount.
No one in the store knew about the deal, which was not included in the new weekly circular or on the website.
I bought a Macy’s one with a VGC at a cashier. No questions asked ans everything went smoothly. Went back next day, try to buy Target VGC but it didn’t work. They even called the store manager and he hadn’t even heard of any third party GC purchase promo. He insisted that corporate would have send him emails. I try to show him the weekly ad and unfortunately it wasn’t in this week’s. It was only in last weeks. Went back the morning after again and tried to buy Macy’s card like the first time. Cashier said their policy was they could ring a gift card the register, I countered back saying I bought one the other day. He requested permission from his supervisor which they approved after he told the amount. System automatically took 25 off and I again paid it one of the Grey VGC. Both times it was automatic pull.
Heads up that some Food Lion stores do not allow gift cards purchases with a credit card. There are dozens of Food Lions in my area and some let me and others don’t. At some stores it’s even cashier specific so I’m guessing the official policy is no although I’ve never seen it written anywhere.
i think there is no official policy. some stores have made it their policy. fortunately none of the ones by me do.
Another thing to note – you have to go to a cashier for gift cards. if you go to self checkout it will take it then it will error and be a pain in the ass for the attendant to fix.
Nice deal! I’ll take a Lowe’s card any day.
how to liquidate it?
