• Signup for a free MyPoints account (a shopping portal) and receive 500 free United miles.
• Make a $25 purchase with the MyPoints portal within 30 days and receive another free 1000 United miles (aside from the regular MyPoints points which you’ll earn from the purchase).

Note that this offer started as an email targeted to specific people, but it appears to work just fine for anyone. That said, there is a chance something can go wrong and you won’t end up with the miles.

I had no problem using the link and entering my MileagePlus account. An email confirming the offer came immediately.

The Fine Print

• Must make the $25 purchase within 30 days.
• “Purchases of gift cards…are not eligible for this offer.”

Our Verdict

If you don’t have a MyPoints account this is a real simple way of getting some free miles. It would be worth making a small $25 purchase using MyPoints to trigger the additional 1000 points as well.

Now I see that we posted a similar offer a few months back, that link works as well. The updated 1750 offer we posted above is really a great offer and not so common.
