I find myself getting caught by the Washington Post paywall way to often, forcing me to open the link incognito instead. With this deal, I’ll be enjoy saving that step for the next 6 months. This is also a good deal for someone considering paying for a subscription since this offer renews at just $3.99/month.
Hat tip to SD
Awesome – just signed up. Even if it has been around, its the first time I’m learning about it.
I appreciate the value you guys bring to the table … I love your content. Thank you!!!!!
I signed up; an easy call for $48/year. Journalism needs our help in 2017 folks. How many of the big stories this past year came from the big newspapers? Democracy dies without a strong press. Government can do what it wants if no one is watching. Yeah, a little deep for page about credit-card churning, but it’s true
So they’re literally giving away this rag for free nowadays?
Free subscription to fake news?!
Thanks but no thanks!
Lol i completely agree
From where exactly do the “fake” newsers get their (“nonfake”) news? Is it only Fox News and POTUS tweets? Serious question.
In case you were wondering Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, also owns the Washington Post, hence this deal.
This has been around for several years already
I did notice it in Google search. I assume the deal went away and came back, but I can’t say with certainty that it hasn’t been here straight.
Well I didn’t know about it and just signed up.
Thank you Doc.
To clarify, it’s a digital subscription. Also, if you have a .edu address you can sign up for WAPO digital access, which is not time limited.
According to the WaPo website, .gov and .mil email addresses qualify for free digital subscriptions.
Individuals with an .edu email who are third-party-verified to be enrolled students are charged $5 every 4 weeks.
@Kim that’s for the info. Let me make the post clearer that this is a digital subscription.
