The Offer
- Frontier is offering a loyalty status match, applying comes with a fee.
- $99 to verify and validate applications at 20k and 50k.
- $149 to verify and validate applications for 100k status.
Our Verdict
You can view what status you’ll get based on the status you have here. This has been offered before, but the fee was only $49 last time.
Hat tip to reader Greg B
Any idea when this will come back?
William Charles There is an Amex Offer for $40 back on $200+ Frontier Airlines (multiple purchases ok) that could sweeten this quite a bit for anyone booking any kind of flight by the end of the year.
Any data points on whether this works? The FAQ of the status match says that All fees will appear as “FRONTIER STATUS MATCH”, or “STATUSMATCH.COM”. I’m guessing this won’t trigger the amex offer, or even be coded as travel or airfare.
for those trying for Alaska/OneWorld status match, this is in the Alaska Airlines Status Match terms:
“How do I status match?
Upload a screen shot of your elite status with the other airline. Complimentary or status earned through a promotion do not qualify. You may only apply once.”
Adding more to this…
“Be sure your screenshot includes the following information:
Your first and last name
Your current status
Your miles flown year-to-date or miles flown the prior year to earn elite status “
Title should be updated to $99-199 fee to reflect the extra $50 that could be charged “if you’ve done it before”
If I pay for the status match and have it approved as the 50k status. Can my family members use the benefit of free carryon when I use my account to buy he/she a ticket?
Go to: https://www.flyfrontier.com/myfrontier/frontier-miles/elite-status?mobile=true#EliteBenefitsDetails and scroll all the way down at “ADDITIONAL BENEFIT DETAILS” where you can find all the details.
Any data points on how strict they are on things like promotional/challenge status? I have Hyatt Explorist for a 3-month period. The screenshot they ask for is easy enough as my account clearly shows the status, but have no idea if they will be able to check with Hyatt and see that it was not gained through actual stays. The terms do seem to say “challenge” status may not be approved.
I think the card on Hyatt.com does NOT show the expiration daate.
$50 extra if this is not your first Frontier match, and the system knew that. I am matching through my Southwest Personal/Biz CC earned Companion Pass to 100k for $200, will reply later if it worked or not. (It did last time)
Data point update: Approved in about 2 hours
That only would be valid for as long as your CP is valid tho, correct? So end of March for those who took advantage of that recent promo. Still $200 for what would be at least $300 in fees for a family of 3 traveling Frontier is pretty nice.
I used a companion pass expiring 12/31/2023 today. Took about 2 hours. The tile in myfrontier shows Elite 100k and 12/31/2024. Being that a bag one way costs about $120 and I have a family of 4, $150 seems like a decent prepayment option of something we will likely utilize
If my Southwest Companion Pass expires Dec 31, would Frontier status only be good until then?
No, this match is until 12/31/24
Only one way to find out! But companion pass -> frontier 100k -> alaska MVP gold 75k sounds pretty legit. Kinda wish I went for companion pass even though I (unfortunately 🙁 ) dont have a good use for it
$99 to join a loyalty program. Hahahahaha. SMH.
I guess a Porgram is still better than a Pogrom
Can you use frontier status to match to other status of value?
AS MVPG 75k
I think I am going to pay for the frontier match to get the Alaska match 😎

I can’t believe you didn’t get any upvotes. Solid contribution.
Now I’ve got to some homework to do. Thank you.
I wish just paid for that elite status on frontier a couple months ago.
