The Offer
- Open a new Associated Credit Union checking account with the promo code AUGUSTA and receive a $100 bonus and complete the following requirements:
- Use the ACU Visa Debit Card to make three (3) or more purchases
- Enroll in eStatements via Online Banking, and
- Make direct deposits equal to or greater than $1,000 into their ACU Associated Checking account
The Fine Print
- If you already have an existing checking account with Associated Credit Union, then you are not eligible for this promotion.
- Offer available for new acquisition households.
- Limit one bonus per household.
- The $100.00 bonus will be credited to the primary member’s share account within 10 business days of meeting the above qualifications.
- NOTE: Using the ACU Visa Debit Card to withdraw money from an ATM does not qualify.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Looks like there is a $4.95 monthly fee that cannot be avoided. I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so I’m unsure if there is an early account termination fee or not.
Our Verdict
