I traded in mine yesterday and got $410 (385+25) in trade credit. The $25 is an ongoing promo for GameStop Pro members.
Is there any difference in performance between the original PS5 and slim PS5?
Does anyone know if you can also stack the 20% extra trade-in towards a “power-trade” game for this and the $25 large purchase coupon someone mentioned below?
So get $385 (original powerup amount) + $77 (extra 20%) and preorder Dragon’s Dogma for $70+tax of that (about $76). Then use $386 towards PS5 slim for $425 ($450-$25 coupon for spending over $250) and pay $39 plus tax on $450 for PS5 slim, spiderman 2, and Dragon’s Dogma?
20% extra is only on games. Not hardware or accessories.
They also have a promo for saving $25 off of a $250 pickup order. I wonder if this is stack-able if you are able to use the trade in credits towards the $250 threshold or if it has to be new money spent
It is stackable. Spidey-Slim digital was $375 with the $25 promo and they were able to apply the $385 trade-in credit to the order.
I am not following what you’re asking. Are you asking can you buy a ps5 in store with the promo 25 off /250 and then immediately trade it in after purchase? If that is the question, the answer is depends on the cashier working that day. The system should allow it. If the cashier is unwilling to do that. Go to the next GS. The bigger issue finding the ps5 spiderman in store to get promo
