Got my 5000 points today, but it was backdated to 11/22/2021. I signed up online on 11/16/2021. I never went in person to complete the process.

5k miles just posted for me yesterday on 1/15/22. Finally! I signed up on 11/28. They sure did take their time giving out these miles.

Not for me yet. And it is also weird that my clear account showed free membership even though my Plat was charged 119 on 11/16.

If the 5k dont post this week, it looks like the miles will post at the end of Dec. Basing my opinion on past united offers

Did the 100 TB offer previously. That posted less than 1 week

5000 miles posted from clear 1-7-2022. However in my United account, the posting backdates to 11-18-2021 from sign up date.

For the 10,000 miles and $70 clear credit (net 109 payment) its probably best to stack with a deal like this (xtra 5k miles) or maybe wait for another deal like the 100 travel bank deal?

ooops! My comment was in reference to stacking the personal United Club credit card offer. 10k miles for Clear membership at a net price of $109 for 1 person (could cancel once miles post) Would wait for stacking if possible

Super helpful, much appreciated for this. Free clear membership for me and my wife because of the discount ($109 + $60) from Amex credit. And 5000 miles is added bonus.

If I sign up for two CLEAR memberships, I get through twice as quickly?

Already used my Plat CLEAR credits, Amex Green offers a $100/year reimbursement. If, as stated above, the membership is reduced to $109 when paying by CC, do others think 5,000 United miles are worth $9?

Note that the $109 price is for “Premier Platinum/Gold/Silver members and United U.S. Credit Cardmembers”, i..e, a Chase United credit card, not just any credit card.

Thanks for this. My SO has a Chase United card, though I can’t see a way via the link above to reference it during signup to reduce the price to $109 (and then optimally use my Amex Green $100/year credit).

Assuming I can’t… Think this promo is still worth is @ $19 out of pocket?

There’s also a risk that the 5000 miles won’t post (or that you’d need to spend time contacting United or CLEAR to get them to manually credit the miles). I probably wouldn’t pay anything for it, but that’s partly because I hardly ever fly on United; but if the miles are free, I’ll take them. Other people who would definitely use the miles would probably have different opinions.
