FYI – My local GE has a sign up now that says the 10 off of a VGC was a mistake and would not be honored. I guess if you didn’t get one by now, you are out of luck. But, maybe try it anyway?

I can confirm that they are enforcing the one per household. This is definitely a new change as in the past you could just keep going through again and again as long as they were on separate transactions.

I went and bought two VGCs in separate transactions today and the discount did not apply on the 2nd one. I have not personally tested whether it would work again in the following scenarios:
a) if I went to another store on the same day
b) if I try again on a separate day

If anybody knows if there is/was a way to get this working multiple times now with the “one per household” limit, please report back!

I can confirm that your DP is correct according to my experience. i went to 2 different GE’s on different days and didn’t get the discount after the first time. In the past, I was able to keep going back and getting the discount as well.

Anybody here able to get the $10 off to apply THIS YEAR to on-line purchases of the visa gift card…. ?

Alas, Stephen P. (the original source – GCG) warned: “In the past, their VGC deals have been available online, but at the time of writing this they’re not applying the $10 discount when ordering online, so this might be an in-store only deal.”

(Could get the discounts to apply in cart to the other gc deals, but haven’t figured out how to get the deal for the vgc to work yet) Anybody?

The Visa gift card: Limit one per household. I’m guessing limit based on your Giant Eagle Advantage card.

Can take advantage of gift card promotions at Get Go (Giant Eagle’s gas station) and get credit card promotions also (Wells Fargo 10% back or Amex $5 back on $35).

Fun to see this deal back around. (even w/o any giant eagle spots nearby) In the past, yes, one per household, per transaction….. and I’d end up doing multiple transactions, across multiple days.

Can you buy the VISA gift card online? Is there a shipping fee?
Never used Giant Eagle, any info is appreciated. 🙂

You can buy it online. Shipping can be free and they put the cards in a regular envelope and mail it. You still earn fuelperks. You can also earn 3x TYP by using Citi AT&T Access More.

But did you get the discount to work THIS YEAR on the visa gift card deal? (last year, sure, but this year?)
