They are a wonderful company and I enjoy dining there with the family. I eat there every Veterans Day and Covid-19 isn’t going to stop me.

Are any Golden Corrals even open due to the pandemic? I thought buffets have been nixed in most of the country.

All the free meal deals for Veterans Day this year are dine-in only so I won’t be using any due to Covid. https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/09/11/912076989/adults-with-covid-19-twice-as-likely-to-have-eaten-at-restaurants-cdc-study

FYI, IHOP’s T-Mobile meal offer also stated it was dine-in only, but the cashier cheerfully made my order to-go when I asked her to.

Not true. Sonny’s for one is doing dine in or call ahead take out. Outback has the usual bloomin and drink to go. Many others are same. At least golden corral is letting vets dine all the way out till May 2021. If you’re that worried, go on a Monday for lunch when the crowd is light.

BTW, that article also points out the group studied frequented gyms, hair salons, etc. so of course those people are also going to frequent restaurants and probably don’t consider capacity a detriment.

This is so gracious they are doing this due to COVID rather than skipping this year’s Veteran’s Day. I think they should continue doing this going forward though because Golden Corral gets the busiest of all restaurants on Nov 11.
