The Offer
- Google Pay is showing a deal for $30 off $50 on Instacart pickup. New Instacart customers only. Activate by July 5th.
Our Verdict
Sounds like a nice discount for new users. Readers note to stack with with $20/$75 Amex Offer or with 30% Cash app boost.
Hat tip reader Steve
Just be aware that not many stores have Instacart pickup even if they do have regular non-instacart pickup. This coupon will work for delivery also, but even with free delivery you have to tip your delivery person which kind of kills the deal. I used it with the Amex offer and ended up saving about $12 overall (for a $100 order). There is probably also a $5 rebatesme cashback stack though I am not counting on that.
Also I had saved this in my Google Pay (Android) a while back and when I went to get the code today the code is no longer visible. So if you intend to use it you probably want to screenshot the code soon as you save the offer. I was able to get another code from P2 and use it for the order.
Looking for confirmation for a first-time Instacart user, that the GPay promotion is for pickup only with the pickup by the Instacart user, not pickup and delivery by an Instacart shopper.
I have a costco membership and they are a partner with instacart but costco dont allow pickups 🙁
Had to create order with Aldi
Thank you Doc for the big savings
is the 30 off 50 an instant discount or will I get the 30 back from Gpay?
It’s an instant discount during checkout.
I only have aldis and some other expensive grocery stores available for pickup orders.
One angle is to buy some COVID’s test and pick them up. Also stack like ieatdogfood suggest with CashApp.
Ex) $130 purchase – $30 Google Pay and then a 30% CashApp = $70 items. 46% off costs.
As good as that may seem. I’ll probably pass since I already bought groceries
where to pick up covid test kits?
for this to potentially work, you would have to see what stores locally to you have them and also allow Instacart pickup. so i dont know. Unfortunately my Walgreens is delivery so it that wouldn’t work according to GooglePay terms…
Also didnt look for covid test bc i have some from Jan still and dont plan on buying more unless i need them.
AMEX also has an Instacart offer right now that can probably be stacked – $20 off $75.
I’ll add that
Maybe can be stacked with Cash App debit 30% off Instacart boost? Haven’t tried myself linking the card to google pay.
Nice
works fine in gpay but I don’t see that offer.
That’s what I did. Bought $50 groceries from Aldi’s. Gpay coupon took off $30 and Cash App boost took off another $5 or so.
do i have to wait for the cash app card to arrive before using it
