- Maintain an average daily balance of $10,000 or greater during the Maintenance Period. (31 days after account opening to 90 days after account opening.)
The Fine Print
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
This account has no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
Grasshopper Bank also reserves the right to reverse the bonus if a New Client closes their Innovator Business Checking Account within 150 days of opening it
Our Verdict
Account earns 1.8% unless you have a $25,000 balance. Looks like you need to tie up funds for ~61 days according to the terms so you’d earn the following with a $10,000 balance:
- ~$30 in interest
- $300 from bonus
If you had the funds in a 5% account you’d earn $83 so this bonus is definitely worth doing if eligible. We will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

Sole prop with EIN 10 years autodec 🙁
P1 approved: Chex frozen, EIN, single-member LLC formed in 2019, IL address, used Plaid to link funding account
P2 denied: Chex frozen, SSN, sole proprietorship since 2011, same IL address as P1, used Plaid to link funding account
If one has to go there..

When you can snatch the pebble from my hand you will earn the bonus.
Appled – Denied instantly. Probably due to chex as i’m at lol/24.
Waiting for the Kung Fu bonus.
Patience, grasshopper!
Has anyone tried applying again after denied? Doesn’t seem like it’s possible.
I don’t think it’s possible, either
I can also confirm. Kiwi
Established LLC. Instant denial.
EQ thawed. Chex frozen (but they don’t pull it anyway). EQ is spotless and >>800 so likely an ID verification issue but I see 2 other possibilities:
I think I might try again as sole prop and fund via Plaid from a burner account.
I had lots of 0% floating on biz cards too but was approved. I used Plaid.
I didn’t use Plaid and was instantly approved
When I applied, it prompted me to unfreeze my equifax which I did and then they approved me. My chex is lol/12
I see a lot of posts mentioning Chex counts, so can anyone confirm this is not a Chex pull and only a soft credit pull? If so, I’ll give it a shot.
I was approved. Chex was not pulled for me.
I was approved with chex frozen but credit report thawed. Didn’t receive hard pull notices it was likely a soft pull.
