- Download and apply. Download the app and apply for the two Greenhouse accounts with a minimum opening deposit of $25. Accounts are subject to approval.
- Complete these tasks. Within 60 days of account opening, complete a total of 5 qualified transactions and complete a survey. Qualified transactions are:
- Greenhouse debit card transaction of at least $5
- Zelle® transaction from the Greenhouse app of at least $5
- Bill Pay transaction from the Greenhouse app of at least $25
- Enjoy your bonus. Your bonus will be deposited into your new Set Aside Account within 45 days after all requirements are met.
The Fine Print
- The GreenhouseSM app is available only for Apple iPhone 6 or higher, running iOS 10.3 or higher. Your mobile carrier’s message and data rates may apply.
- Offer cannot be:
- Paid without providing a W-9 and valid U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number
- Reproduced, purchased, sold, transferred, or traded
- We will deposit the $150 bonus into your Set Aside Account within 45 days after eligibility and qualifications have been met.
- You are responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes due on this bonus payment. We will report the payment as income to the tax authorities if required by applicable law. If you have questions, please consult a tax advisor.
Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
These accounts have no monthly fees during the beta period
Early Account Termination Fee
I didn’t see mention of an early account termination fee in the fee schedule.
Our Verdict
Basically they give you two accounts, one is a ‘set aside’ (savings account) and another is a ‘spending account’ (checking account). I love how these banks think they are reinventing the wheel whenever they try and market something towards millennials. That being said this bonus seems to be ridiculously easy to meet the requirements for. I don’t see anything in the fine print that prevents you from getting the bonus if you’ve received a Wells Fargo checking bonus before, but I guess they could just not select you. I think it’s worth trying if you have an iOS eligible device.

And it gets worse: “You cannot be:
a recipient of a consumer checking bonus in the past 12 months (limit one bonus per customer)” #craptastic
Aw crap, this was in the fine print: “You cannot be:
a current owner on a Wells Fargo consumer checking account”. Total waste of time. Drat.
I punched in my zip code in San Diego, California and was selected, but only for $50. They asked all the usual questions to setup and fund the account, but then let me use my existing WF credentials to log into the GreenHouse app. Odd but who cares, it’s $50 for almost no effort. It’s been a very profitable year for me at WF, and this is just a bit more icing on the cake. Worst bank ever, so I’m happy to take so many bonuses!
Has anyone been selected to participate?
Not yet, but I submitted interest on 09/21/2018
at least use a different email from your wellsfargo login
Why? If they care about overlap between WF accounts/bonuses and Greenhouse, I’d expect them to check by social security number, not something as easily replaced as an email address…
I wonder if you already opened a WF personal account , if it would disquailfy you for this bonus?
No love for android? 🙁
would this offer work on Ipad Pro or ipod touch? I am an android geek and no iphone for me 🙂
You could try downloading an iOS emulator on PC if you get selected
Thanks Asad. Hopefully the app will reduce greenhouse emissions 🙂
Roger that
I don’t know that anything viable for installing a secure banking app exists. After wading through a bunch of spammy lists of supposed ‘iOS emulators’, without finding a single one saying you can connect to the iTunes app store with it, I found this explanation of why those are probably not going to work: https://www.quora.com/Is-there-an-iOS-emulator-for-Windows-similar-to-BlueStacks-for-Android/answer/John-Smith-19499
” Anything you may find online that claims to be an emulator for iOS, will be software that will simulate something that looks kind of like the Apple iOS, but really has none of the core functions that a real emulated iOS would have: you won’t be able to connect it to your apple account, install apps, perform purchases, you won’t be able to jailbreak or root the thing. Essentially it’s just a fancy, Apple-looking skin that is sold as an “emulator”.
Most of these fake emulators will come with monetization that automatically installs unwanted software on your computer, ads etc. With other words it borders on unwanted software/malware in some cases. ”
There are a few non-spammy options out there, for a fee, for professional programmers making their own iPhone apps to test them on a Windows or Mac computer, but it looks like they are just for testing things you have the source code of locally (things you programmed yourself), not somebody else’s app from the app store.
It should. iPad and iPhone both run iOS.
Good luck being selected. Been on the waitlist for 2 months now.
Looks like in order to be selected you need to be on the waitlist.

I’m an Android loyalist but I’ll happily borrow my daughter’s iPhone for this…
I have an Iphone 6+ or Iphone 6s and I can’t seem to find the app on the app store. I have searched “Greenhouse,” “Greenhouse by Wellsfargo,” “Greenhouse Wellsfargo,” “Greenhouse Wells,” “Greenhouse Wells fargo,” Greenhouse Wellsfargo.”
Got nothing to come up.
Ok so I need to read better lol. You have to go to the website then sign up for interest, then if selected they send you the invite 🙂
I didn’t do that. I found it in the App Store without needing the additional steps. Odd.
