Does anyone know if these offers lower the amount the restaurant makes from the order? Or is Grubhub bearing the discount? In the past, Grubhub has been very hard about strong-arming restaurants into selling at discounts that *Grubhub* forced upon them. Example: https://twitter.com/hels/status/1244671426319265793

William Charles I received an email yesterday for $5 off $10 pickup. The subject is: “Strollin’ along with a $5 perk. Same expiration on this. This one might be a targeted/one-time code though since it was a long alphanumeric code. Rakuten CB ended up triggering yesterday too, even though I used the promo code.

Also, yesterday I received an app notification for $5 off $10 pickup with code “FOODTOGO”. This is also an 8/9 expiration. Either of these codes should work well for near free/ better than free food with the AMEX Gold monthly credit.

Tried to apply it on an order with $13.90 in items, and getting the error message: “You haven’t met the order minimum required to redeem this promo code.”
