At least in Chicago, Grubhub discounts are quite pointless – All restaurants around me have AT LEAST 35% price markups around me – even with 35% discount, the taxes are higher as they are applied on marked up prices – The whole hassle of ordering pickup from Grubhub is a waste (even with GH+) as I waste huge amount of time in analysis and still end up paying more than what I would have paid directly ordering from restaurant App or phone. Ordering from restaurants directly also allow me to use restaurant specific rewards and discounts which are quite useful and are usually around. Although I have enjoyed great deals for UberEats and sometimes Doordash, IMO these food delivery apps just don’t fit in the overall DOC philosophy! Our time and energy is better spent with other alternatives 🙂
Make sure you have GH+, although most of us probably do through a BofA card, Prime, or somewhere else.
