Update 2/18/22: FM is reporting that some people that had their accounts reported to their personal reports are now no longer showing on their personal reports. Confirmed here.
Traditionally Barclays has not reported Barclays Business credit cards to a consumers personal credit report. This is important for people wanting to stay under the Chase 5/24 rule. In the last month there has been two datapoints stating that a Barclays Business card was reported to their credit report: 1, 2. 3, 4, Datapoints from more than a month ago (e.g 2021 or before) are still showing as unreported so it’s possible this is a new change although with only two datapoints it’s too early to tell.
In the past people have gotten the hard pull confused with the card history showing, but both of these new datapoints that is definitely not the case. Feel free to share your datapoints in the comments below.
What is the consensus on this? Seems like most DPs are thta business cards are not reported to personal credit report?
Notice on my latest statement: “As of October 2023, Barclays will begin reporting your Business Card account activity to the Experian Small Business Credit Bureau on a monthly basis.”
Is this different than the personal credit report? Can Chase see this?
Opened wyndham biz 1/13, first statement closed in jan. Not on report. I have ha and aa biz with them. Wyndham wasnt instant approval but they called and asked me a few questions and approved me. 780credit score.
DP: My Wyndham Business Earner card is not and has never been reported on my personal report.
DP: Wyndham Biz opened January 2022, reported to personal report after billing cycle closed in February 2022, removed from personal report now.
How do you remove it from personal report?
The person whose credit report it is can’t remove it. It’s Barclays who removed it, just like it was Barclays who reported it.
If Barclay removed it – it is a great news. Hopefully it was a glitch and they fixed it… will see what other DP contributors tell us.
Yes, Barclays removed it automatically for me. Didn’t file a dispute.
Opened January 17th.
Reported to personal report February 13th.
Was your card approved automatically through the system when you initially applied online? Or, were you asked to provide documentation about your business and speak to a representative? Or, did you reach out to recon at any point to get your application approved? I’m beginning to wonder if there might be a difference between system approvals and approvals that have to be handled directly by a representative… I wouldn’t think that would make a difference but anything is possible at this point. Some DP’s suggest that the card is reporting to personal credit reports while other DP’s are stating otherwise. My card was opened in January 2022 and it is not reporting to my personal credit reports. My first statement closed well over a week ago and I still haven’t seen anything.
Is this still on your personal report, Monica? Seems like a handful of people have gotten theirs removed.
Wyndham biz opened October, does not appear on Experian report
I opened a Hawaiian Airlines business credit card with Barclays in January 2022. The first statement closed about a week ago, checked Transunion today, and the business card is NOT reporting to my personal credit reports. Yes, there is an inquiry on my personal credit report, but that is normal. I also have other business credit cards and personal cards with Barclays that was opened last year. The personal cards are reporting to the credit bureaus, but the business cards are not. I’ll keep an eye on the credit report to see if anything changes and update this post if necessary…
Wyndham Biz opened October 14th, 2021. Transunion Hard Pull. Tradeline does not show on any personal credit reports.
It amazes me how many still confuse a HP with an account report. Lots of newbs still out there to learn
