Hilton Adds NoMad Hotels

Hilton hotels has announced a majority controlling interest in Sydell Group (owner of NoMad Hotels) to expand it’s existing London flagship location to other high end markets around the world. Sydell Group is already in advanced talks for 10 properties and Hilton plans to have over 100 NoMad hotels under management over time, the NoMad hotels will continue to be independently owned.

NoMad branding seems a bit off to me for a luxury offering, makes me think of digital nomads working out of cheap hotel/office spaces.

NoMad in NYC wasn’t too shabby the last time I stayed.

I thought the NoMad in Vegas was previously with Hyatt now with Marriott…

That NoMad is a different thing. An MGM property that was bookable with Hyatt… and then that partnership ended, and MGM signed with Marriott Bonvoy.

Really should be singular (NoMad hotel) at this point because they have exactly one property that will join Hilton. The Las Vegas property will reflag.

So this really is Hilton buying instead of inventing a new brand name with a proof of concept already built.

I don’t believe the MGM NoMad hotel (on the top floors of the Park MGM) is part of the NoMad hotel brand/group this article is referring to. (Name Coincidence)

No, that one is getting reflagged. So for now only the London property.
