Our Verdict

Honestly only the 99% off coupons are worth anything, the rest are pretty much junk as 10% off is rather standard and you’re giving up the free night program that’s roughly worth 10% anyway. 1:1,1000 isn’t the worst chance at getting one of the useful coupons I guess, but I’m not going to be frantically refreshing trying to get a coupon. I was one of the lucky one that got 99%! For that coupon they had to call you and you cant book online. I’m going to Turks and Caicos and most hotels there are smaller, non-chains, so I had no problem picking one that was eligible.

Unfortunately the one I chose had taxes it doesn’t cover taxes so I had to pay that, but there were hotels (like in Cancun) that had no taxes- one could’ve walked away only paying 1% of total price.

Great deal! And I never win stuff like this so I’m psyched!

So did the Expedia 75% off this morning. I tried using it on an independent hotel that I’ve used their coupons on before and it was suddenly excluded…

10%, but if I’m not mistaken you can get 12% by signing up for their email newsletter.

I didn’t get this email. I got the 12% off one that expired yesterday, but not this one. Wholeheartedly agree with you though doc, there’s no real bargain here unless you happen to get that 99% off coupon. Cheaptickets almost always has 15-20% off all bookings, so they are usually my go to OTA when I’m not using points.
