Update: These methods are working for the new Amazon offer available until 12/31/2018 as well.
Third method: Use the old interface.
Reader ThunderrBuddy sends through another method that might work if you’re trying to add it to a relatively new card:
- Offer is showing up during the confirm a card section. You can still confirm a card even if you’ve done it before (just needs to be a recent card)
- Go to americanexpress.com/confirmcard
- Offer should show during this process
Earlier today I posted a deal about an American Express offer for $20/2,000 Membership Rewards when you spend $50 at Amazon. It’s obviously a great deal, but sadly most readers didn’t have the offer. It seems that American Express offers will only show a set maximum of offers at a time, you can possibly get the Amazon offer to show by doing the following:
- Add all the available American Express offers
- Log out
- Log in, hopefully the Amazon and some other American Express offers will appear
This won’t work for everybody, but it should work for people that have the offer but don’t have it showing due to too many other offers being shown. Share your success/failures in the comments below.
Hat tip to Stackingpoints
“Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately this offer has ended.”
The confirm card method worked for me today. I had signed up for the card in July.
Confirm card still working on a brand new blue bus plus card, but didn’t work for the auth user card that had already been added my wife’s account when I tried to do confirm card again. Either way, offer is still available.
Didn’t work. 0/4. Schwab, Delta, Blue, Hilton
Yes it worked for me on my new blue!
Got the offer through “confirming” a card (EveryDay opened Apr 2018). Adding offers didn’t work on a Platinum with 90+ offers.
Don’t Amex offers have enrollment limits? Meaning only X people can enroll for a particular offer. If a bunch of people start enrolling in every offer that shows on their account, even though they don’t plan to use 95% of them, I think that takes them away from other people who may actually use the offers 🙁
My thinking is that Amex tells merchants what % of ‘Saved Offers’ get used. If a retailer wants to bring 1,000 people into the store, they’ll allow, say, 10,000 offers to be saved. So over time, it’ll all adjust to work out. If people save more offers than they use, the retailers will begin to realize that it takes 20 people to save an offer to bring in 1 customer, instead of the previous 10 people, and they’ll begin allowing more offers to be saved.
DP: Have never seen this offer on any of my cards before. Was reading this article, and decided to try the ‘Use the old interface’ method. I clicked the link and opened it in Incognito Mode on Google Chrome on my Android phone. I then ticked ‘Request Desktop site’ in Chrome’s settings. This refreshed the page with a ‘Systems Error’ message page. From that error page I clicked on ‘Home’ which then took me to the “new interface” but still in Desktop View. From there I went to the ‘View All’ AmEx offers and BAM! there it was, spend $50+ at Amazon for 2K MR.
Confirm Card did did work on my AMEX Mercedes-Benz Platinum.
Tried adding 4 offers and then logging out/in (same AMEX MB Platinum card). No dice.
can you get this offer on multiple cards. I got it to show on my new card when I confirmed it today.
