Our Verdict

Unlike some other promotions this actually looks to be a genuine discount, still worth price comparing to ensure you’re getting the best deal. Hyatt is also up to triple points on all stays. Chase also has an offer for 10/15% back on Hyatt stays.

I just now booked an 11 night stay at Hyatt Place for October with the new rates. When I was checking yesterday the cheapest rate anywhere near the airport I want to stay was the Days Inn. Hyatt Place was the next cheapest with this discount so I just booked Hyatt Place, because better breakfast, larger full-size rooms, airport shuttle and inside door compared to Days Inn motel appearance.

Total BS, I made a week long hotel reservation for next month and even with this “new discount”, it would cost me $200 more

Do all hotels in the Hyatt program really offer breakfast right now, when many of their competitors either don’t or have diminished it to tiny grab & go bags with only a couple shelf-stable things in them? What if the free breakfast offer turns out to be “no breakfast at all at this hotel” when you get there, then what?

This seems like a might weird offer at a time when many hotels have closed down their restaurants and room service completely.

Was in a HP Saturday. It was a sad breakfast if you are accustom to it. All pre packaged stuff like yogurt and microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. Super minimal. The lobby area was dead.

Very confusing — conflicting info whether it is refundable or not.

EDIT: On the linked offer page it says: If your plans change, we understand. All stays booked with this offer can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty.

I believe the post should say “up to 20%” rather than just 20% off. I would also point out that I stay that I’ve been searching which now shows the new offer (15% off plus the free breakfast) is now exactly 15% more expensive than what I was seeing before.

This is actually a great deal and I’m very tempted but still no plans to travel until next year.
