Hyatt Promotion: Earn 3k Points Every 3 Nights

The Offer

Direct link to offer (goes live on 2/22)

  • Hyatt has a new promotion where you earn 3,000 points every three nights. Select properties in Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mainland China, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and Vietnam will also earn an additional 1,000 points every three nights. Valid on stays from 3/1/24 and 4/30/24

Our Verdict

Very boring promotion from Hyatt, was hoping they would have something lucrative/interesting as I have upcoming stays but better than nothing.

Does it have to be a 3 night stay or can you stay 2 nights somewhere and a single night somewhere else?

If you check in on February 29, and check out March 4 (four nights), how many credit nights do you earn? Hopefully, “at least some.” The rules seem unclear on this.

Are stays booked before registering eligible?

Yes. Only the check-in & check-out dates matter.

The Bonus Journey’s FAQ states:

5.  Will Eligible Nights before I register count toward the promotion?
No, only Eligible Nights following registration and during the Promotion Period will count toward the promotion.

This only means that if they had a stay March 1-2 as an example but they only registered on March 10th, that stay will not count.

Laaaaaaame.
I’m staying in Italy, but in June. They probably don’t have any problems filling vacancies there and during that month.

The page is live but on the landing page it says “All members can earn…” but after putting in my membership number I get “You are ineligible for this offer.”

Seems about right for Hyatt IT.

Nope.

The T&C say that these additional 1000 points are for Hyatt credit card holders only:

World of Hyatt Credit Cardmembers will receive 1,000 additional Bonus Points for every 3 Eligible Nights completed after registration and during the Promotion Period at participating hotels in 18 destinations only—Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mainland China, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Vietnam.”

Gone are the days of getting low peak Cat 1s stays and paying roughly 120k Hyatt points for Globalist. RIP
