Our Verdict

Looks like you need to complete offers to unlock the turkey. Ibotta often has breakeven deals or profitable deals when items are on sale, so hopefully you can do enough of those to unlock the free turkey.

I couldn’t figure out how to get the “free” stuff the last two years this was offered. I must be really old, but then again, ibotta sucks anyway.

lol – requires 16 offers. This brings me back to the days of freeipod.com. I mean I did get a free iPod after finishing and cancelling a plethora of offers, but that probably was worth it over a free turkey (which they seem to max out at $14)

Some folks are getting a 32 offer requirement! I got 18.

Looks like they’re having me jump through a bunch of hoops this year. 16 offers could be pretty tough, even if they include the freebies and “Any Item” offers in the count. I usually don’t go for Ibotta bonus offers because of the high requirements and time limit.

Same. They’re the only ones that force you to participate or they’ll dock your rewards. Rakuten would never do that.

Really bad offer this year. Seems to be a variable amount of offers required to unlock the turkey offer – my account requires 16 offers completed by 11/18. Then, on top of that, you have to redeem the turkey offer separately to unlock the sides offers (i.e. separate trips to the store on different dates). Finally, the real icing on the cake is that the sides are not even worth $4 combined. There is no stuffing this year, literally and figuratively. Just jiffy corn muffins, a gravy packet, and a can of cranberries. That’s a LOT of effort to pinch a few pennies. Definitely won’t be participating this year, but good luck to those who will.

No additional requirements for new users but there are additional offers to complete first for existing users.

And if ibotta finds out that someone has two accounts, they’ll shut you down fast. Even if they suspect, they’ll shut it down. They’re a bit too vigilant.

32 offers to unlock the free turkey and then several more to unlock like three sides? Not happening this year for me.
