The Offer
- Ibotta is offering a referral bonus. When you refer a friend they will receive a $10 welcome bonus, you’ll receive a $5 bonus and they also have special bonuses for the number of people you refer:
- $20 for two successful referrals
- $50 for the next five
- $100 for every ten after card
- For those not familiar Ibotta is a cash back shopping portal/in store app portal. You can read more about it here.
The Fine Print
- For new users to receive their welcome bonus of $10 they must complete a shopping trip within 7 days.
- The rebate must be a specific-item rebate, not a generic “Any Brand” or “Any Item” rebates. This might exclude online shopping portal cashback as well.
- Friend must login on a unique mobile device which has never been associated with Ibotta before.
- This is also a required for you to receive your referral bonuses

Our Verdict
Ibotta can be pretty useful, especially sometimes when they pay out on some merchants that other shopping portals aren’t paying out on. They also sometimes have easy deals to complete. If you want to support the site you can use one of these referral links to do so:
This referral bonus is better than the one they previously had that awarded an extra $15 if you refer three people. As mentioned before you can read our full Ibotta review here.
I registered ibotta via your referral link. However, they denied bonus by saying this
Please note, regarding the Welcome bonus, the bonus details state, “Welcome to the family! Earn $10 in cash back rewards within 30 days, and we’ll double it with a $10 Welcome Bonus.” Within 30 days of registration, you will need to redeem $10 in rebates. Once you redeem the $10, we will match it with your $10 Welcome Bonus.
Do you have any idea why?

I recommend glancing at it every so often for things you want already or will be really cheap after rebate. Overall that is a lot of junk on there and it isn’t worth it to spend too much time on there. I’ve earned $100 over the past few months just looking at it every once in a while and waiting for the best deals and promotions!
Charles, you posted your referral on wrong page.
It’s better than $1 per ride because of the bonuses on multiple rides (e.g. redeem with Uber 5 times get $5, etc.), as well as it factoring into total redemptions to hit general bonuses (e.g. do 5 redemptions, get $5 (for which each uber redemption is a unique redemption)).
I commute with uber pool probably 5 rides per week. I did nothing else on Ibotta until the very end of the month (did a Boxed thing before the Amex deal went away, and then also a couple grocery things), and had effectively about $2.50 per Uber pool ride.
Just FYI – Ever since uber partnered with ibotta, I get an extra 20 bucks back a month. (Much better than thanks again) Even works with uber pool rides done with a flat/trip pass. Rides as low as $2.00 plus get 5x miles using gift cards plus get spg points for every trip.
It’s $1 per ride, right? So you do 20 rides per month, I guess?
yes
FYI, Ibotta just removed Paypal as a payment option (supposedly temporarily).
Fingers crossed
