Nice discount, shame it’s not available for everybody. Discount should show up during checkout if you’re eligible.

Do the point prices usually fluctuate?
I didn’t make a decision in time, and looks like the prices are still at the elevated prices, without the 15% now. So it’s now more than before the discount started.

Thank you so much for the heads up! I looked for availability for the Bay Area for Thanksgiving week, but couldn’t find any free nights and awards were too expensive. This brought down the price for the other nights and I was able to make the most expensive night free. Strange thing, the free night availability disappeared after I booked the others, and I realized that if I searched with the family selected, no free nights anywhere, but if it was just one traveler, it showed plenty. I hope everyone else is okay with sleeping in the car that night!

Thanks, this came at the perfect time. I had to use an anniversary night by the end of the year and the Kimpton in the city I was looking at wasn’t available for a free night on any days before the sale. With the sale I found one night that was discounted from 45k to under 40k points, and the free anniversary night was also able to be used for that.

idk might be just me but i dont see the discount at all. also the 4th night benefit isn’t a benefit at all. if you book individually and then 4 nights it does show 4th night free but then the other nights are more expensive so it’s all marketing lies. unhappy with ihg program.

I’d disagree… The 4th night free program equates to about a 25% discount, depending on daily rates that can vary. This promotion is for 3 days or less. Unfortunately the two promotions don’t stack. But I’ve had a lot of success using the free 4th night. Coupled with the 10% rebate from the old credit card, and fairly frequent room upgrades, IHG One is my favorite for personal travel!!

I learn about this just after I use my anniversary night for a 20K night at the worst reviewed Holiday Inn Waterpark near Disney World. Here is hoping the reviews are not true. Terrible use of the value of my points.

Can’t you just cancel it and rebook it at the discounted rate?

I guess it doesn’t make sense to rebook. You won’t get any points back.

Just makes my use of a cert for a 20k room an even worse value by CPP haha

what i found out is, you just need to check in by 12/16 (instead of the stated “Stays must be completed by 12/16/22”)
