IHG Now Allows You To Use A Secure Password, Replacing PIN

IHG is finally allowing users to replace their four digit PIN with a secure password. Existing users all now have this option and new users will be forced to use a secured password when signing up. I have no idea why IHG has persisted with a four digit PIN for such a long period of time given how unsecure they are but it’s nice to see they are finally making this positive change. Existing users will not be forced to change to a secure password at this time.

Given all the scammers out there, this seems at least 5 years overdue! 🙂

Maybe in another 20-30 years they’ll start supporting two-factor auth 🙂
