I got an email from Ikea FAmily that stated a $1000/10 card limit which when clicked though said limit 8 but yes its been pulled now. Hopefully it will come back being that this might be a glitch.

TLDR: use Apple Pay for Amex cards. Entering the number directly never worked, but Apple Pay was fine.

I must have missed the short window when the site was working. It’s saying every order attempt is declined, just as everyone was reporting yesterday. For each attempt, I see a matching pair of pending purchase and refund transactions on Amex’s side (so I really don’t think Amex is declining; CashStar is making a purchase transaction and then immediately refunding it).
Different amounts, different cards, doesn’t matter. No customer support number, just a black hole form. Frustrating because I actually have a big IKEA purchase in mind. What a bunch of clowns.

UPDATE: well, it worked with a Freedom Unlimited card, just not any Amex. Then I tried Apple Pay with the Amex, and it worked fine. So I ended up with $80+bonus on CFU, $80+bonus on Amex (Apple Pay), and $640+8bonus on Amex (Apple Pay).

Did you received the GCs? I only got the emails for the bonus ones ($20s) but not the $80s.

You can check the status of your order by going to the bottom of the order confirmation email to this line: “Have a question about your order? Click here to access our customer support tools.”
If you click on it, you will be taken to a page that asks you to generate an order status e-mail. Clicking on that second e-mail shows status of each card separately.
When I did this, it could see that while the bonus cards had already been sent, the other ones were still in process. Why this is I don’t know — but at least they are not lost in the ether.

Update on my end: just about 24 hours after my purchase (and 23 hours after getting my bonus cards) the larger denominations just came in. Hopefully they’re just working through all the orders and everyone will have theirs soon.
As of 7/11 9:00am PST / 12:00pm EST the site is back up. Transaction went through for me and my friend.

2. You can buy a single large value gift card and receive multiple bonus gift cards. For instance, if you buy a gift card of $240, you will receive 4 gift cards: $240, $20*3.

Yeah but they have another knowledge base article that says you can use an unlimited number of gift cards per order so who knows

Called the 800 number on the website-the answer was to call the business office early in the morning if it’s still not working.
Can’t get through the purchase because I got “We’re sorry, this transaction has been declined” for all the cards I tried. Not sure if this is an excuse because the error shows up 0.2 seconds after I click submit, which is such a short processing time?
