Our Verdict
There is also a $175 bonus you can complete in branch, I prefer this offer as you’re giving $50 to charity, can open online as well and it’s for an extra $50. It’s also nice that you don’t need to worry about your particular branch having the flyers or not. They also have a 5% APY account, but you can only fund it with coins. I will be adding this to our list of the best checking sign up bonuses.

Possible important DP:
I was just successfully able to open an account out of state. (MO). Also re: Chex sensitivity, I have opened 16 accounts in the past 7 months.
So, no minimum amount for the DD? I understand a DD needs to be set up for 6 months, but any amount will work?
I opened in branch a few weeks ago, 27 checking accts last 20 months, approved, no way theyre chex sensitive imo. This sentence and verbage is a little concerning. ” A qualified direct deposit is an electronic deposit into this account from the U.S. government or your employer on a recurring basis, AT LEAST MONTHLY. Bonus will be deposited into your new account during the first complete statement cycle after direct deposit is credited.

Thanks
denied for “2Z DEBIT POLICY RULE EXCLUSION”
i had a checking with them 8 months ago for a bonus. was hoping to be able to do it again. says my credit score was “9992” out of 899 haha…guess they’re quite chex sensitive which is disappointing. at least it was a soft pull
I got the same codes, 2Z reason code and 9992 Qualifile exception score. Any idea what they mean?
Denied savings account due to too many chex inquiries; previously had a checking account with them, so may try that route.
How many accounts in the last 12/24 months?
Tried applying and was denied due to too many chex inquiries.
How many in last 12 months?
Ally works, that is how I got the bonus last time for the $175.
Denied due to Chex score
A mandatory 10k savings account deposit? No thanks, will go back to the one by midway and asee if the $150 without 10k savings is still available.
“When you complete one of the following…”
It isn’t mandatory, it’s either the checking account or the savings account.
Only need to do one of the requirements, not both.
