hard pulled me through my frozen credit
took them 4 months, but they were able to battle with TU to eventually get the inquiry removed.
I think they used the account review/permissible purpose exception to circumvent my freeze.
Just a warning to anybody trying it in the future.
dunno if they were within their right to do that, guess it doesn’t matter much now.
the senior loan person that was helping me was wonderful and was very gracious in helping getting TU to remove the inquiry.
Just applied and noticed that it states application must be submitted by 12/31/2024
As GZG said, there’s an option to join for the following states: IL, IN, MI, IA, WI, MO, KY. I’m in IN so thought I’d give it a go.
No funding options at all unless you’re already a member, says a team member will contact you for funding.
Immediate hard pull on TransUnion.
Lol – denied same day:
“Thank you for your interest in becoming a Member of DuPage Credit Union. Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to open your Membership Account. Our reason(s) will be further explained in a notice you will receive in the mail within the next few days.”
They have an eligibility quiz that just lists six counties in northern IL (not including Cook): https://www.dupagecu.com/join/
Applied.
Got a “we’ll call you” final screen.
Trans Union says they got a credit inquiry from DCU.
Any CC funding available? Thanks
No credit card funding.
I will deposit cash at a nearby branch after approval and verification of bonus.
How much can you deposit in branch?
my TU was frozen, no email from CK about an attempted pull of my TU
wtf hard pull really? I’ll pass then
HP shows on my CK activity.
If/when DCU calls, I’ll ask for the method to their madness.
Thanks, Chuck.
I live in Dupage County and will jump on this offer.
Application lists lives or works in: IL, IN, MI, IA, WI, MO, KY as potential for being eligible on the application, live in IL but not one of the primarily listed counties, will test.
