Our Verdict
Chase sapphire preferred:
We saw a 90,000 point offer last year. This isn’t as good as that offer but I still think it’s worth doing and think it’s unlikely we see a better offer than this in the next year. Because of that we will add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.
Chase sapphire reserve:
Sapphire reserve is the best bonus we’ve seen for awhile as well, most recent increased bonus was 70,000 points. If you can make use of the benefits and don’t mind the high annual fee then this card is worth considering as well. Just remember you can’t get both of these cards so you will have to chose the offer you prefer.
Is this offer still available in branches?
Did you find out if it’s still available?
The nearest branch I have is about 50 miles away. Wanted to save the trip if someone can confirm if this offer is no longer available in branch.
Is there a place to see SUB status in the app or online? I thought there used to be, but not seeing that at the moment.
Yes, it’s displaying under “See all transactions” with the header “New account bonus”
It shows the exact deadline date to meet the spend bonus as well.
Did this on Thursday 6/20 since I missed the cutoff for the 75k online bonus. Went pending. Banker was surprised. He called in, still couldn’t get any info or get it pushed through. He gave me an 800 number and suggested I call after 24 hours to get it pushed through. Tried that, still unable to get it pushed through. Will have to wait for the letter in the mail I guess. Disappointing because I wanted to put a trip on this card.
1/24 and 780+ with a CFU and a few biz cards from 2+ years ago
Got it approved manually on a second call in. Oddly, required moving some of my modest CL from CFU to get it done. And they would not allow moving more than $5k to the new card…
Expedited 1-2 days by default, but that is not UPS Next Day like the CSR is. It came in a normal envelope on like the 3rd day.
Was able to redeem offer on 6/22
DP: Went to branch today(06/21/2024). Got instant approval. 75k points for 4k spend in 3 months and another 10k points for 6k( extra 2k) spend in 6 Months. So total 85K points. Banker was able to expedite the card. Should get it in 2 business days.
My banker isn’t in tomorrow, if I go on saturday (6/22, the date that the promo is ending) will i be able to still get the elevated bonus?
downgraded from CSR 6/12, saw CSP appear when logged into Chase and searching for new CCs 6/18, applied 6/20 in branch
I just opened the CSP with the in-branch offer but my tracker only shows the $4k/75k points. Does anyone know if a single transaction of $6k+ qualifies for the 85k points? Or does one need to spend $4k to hit the first bonus, and then an additional $2k to earn the additional 10k points?
Applied and approved 5/30/24…..I received card today and my brother bought an inmotion scooter online for 4,050 $ and gave me the cash to pay the card off.
Anyone know how long it takes for the bonus points to show up? I recieved the points for the purchase but not the bonus. Thanks
A quick Google search might help you more, but from my experience (5 years ago…) the points showed up on my statement for when I earned the bonus, so at the very latest you’ll see the points by the end of your current statement?
In branch application under review. Well under 5/24, high credit score, other cards with them in good standing, haven’t had sapphire for 10 years. Will calling reconsideration help?
Nm approved card showed up in app
did the tracking for the sign up bonus show in your account as well? I applied today, the card show up in account immediately but no tracking or any info regarding the sign up bonus. does it take some time or something went wrong?
I think it took some time for the bonus tracker to show up, so just be patient. (Since this is a week later, I assume it’s showing for you by now.)
