(Update) Increased American Express Hilton Bonuses (Up To 175,000 + Free Night Certificate)

Update 3/18/24: See this comment for links to these offers without the lifetime-language exclusion

The Offer

  • American Express is offering increased offers on the Hilton cards. Offers are as follows:
    • Hilton no annual fee: 100,000 points
    • Hilton Surpass: 155,000 points
    • Hilton Aspire: 175,000 points + free night certificate

Our Verdict

These are not all time highs:

Only one really worth considering is the Hilton Aspire and even then I’d only consider it if you have a short or medium term need for the points otherwise I think we will see better Hilton deals in the future. American Express made some major changes to this and the Surpass at the end of last year. We won’t add these offers to the best credit card bonus pages.

For those with irregular spending needs at Hilton and airlines, do Hilton gift cards and American Airlines gift cards qualify for statement credits?

applied normally and got popup, applied via NLL link below and got approved with no popup. never had the card before (Surpass). even though these aren’t the best offers ever, given the frequency with which i get the popup with AMEX i will take what i can get.

The design of my Hilton business card just changed in the app. Assume there’s some refresh happening

Does anyone know what it means for ‘Provide required information’ on the AMEX application status page? I went for the Aspire NLL and received the 14 day message.

Bad offer ! 175K Hilton points is Barely enough for 2 nights at most Hilton property standard room that cost $120 a night .

If you are terrible at using points yes. Did 5 nights at Hilton los Cabos resort 320k. Cost for non refundable was $2500

Once in a blue moon or 1 out of 800 property, you will get a good value but most of the time 175k hilton zimbabwe points is barely enough for standard room that cost $120 a night

Wrong. Incredibly easy to get .5 cents per point. .75 to1 cent per point is harder. I could post loads

5 hilton points is worth 1 cent at most hilton properties

Its not that hard to get good value – even if it is then use for those times where the value is good – I booked 5 nights at the AI Hilton La Romana at Christmas for 400K points for 4 people – would have cost me over $4900 at the cash rate

Why do you keep posting in Hilton threads. Obviously you are really bad at booking hotels. Just don’t get the card. More good deals for me.

Staying 5 nights at the Conrad in Fort Lauderdale in a few weeks. Only paid for 4 at 90k a night so 360,000 points for a $3100 stay. In addition I am getting the $200 back from the Resort Credit, and with two people we will get back about $50 a day for food and beverage.

with any points system is all about flexible and looking around, example Hilton Mar Caribe in Cancun booked 4 night in Nov during thankgiving for 400k for 4 people AL or Hilton Cancun will cost 1.5 mill point, book in Cancun n both AL but booking is crazy different.

Hilton Cancun was 80k a night last year I think it got raised to 100k. Still a good deal with 5th night free. Have spent last two pre-Christmases there.

I understood there was originally confusion on Aspire card, which includes FNC as part of benefit. But what about the Surpass? Not seeing free night certificate on the NLL links for Either Surpass or regular Hilton. Were they supposed to? The post implies that.

I was just approved for my 2nd Aspire using the NLL link below. My first Aspire was opened in July 2022. I also have two Hilton Biz Cards and a Surpass which I opened last month. I was also just approved for my first Biz Gold last week.

“note: this Aspire offer doesn’t have the free night cert” -DoC

This statement is misleading. While the welcome offer (SUB) does not include a free night cert, the benefits of the Aspire card does include an annual free night cert. This means that if for some reason you do not meet the minimum spend to get the SUB, you will still receive an annual free night certificate for as long you hold the card

For completeness, the Hilton business amex is at 130k. Still waiting for a better offer. Previous offers were 180k, 150k + FNC, and 150k, newest to oldest.

The 130k NLL link for the biz Hilton is dead now, unless you have access to a working one?

Well you can only have 5-6 Amex cc at once so if you value those slots it’s worth waiting

Well I wouldn’t waste any of my personal card allotment on Amex cards so what am I missing? Delta Biz cards? No Delta hubs near me.
